Termite Control Termites are regarded as one of the most damaging and destructive pest for your home or business.

Termites can cause extensive damage to the structure of buildings and in extreme cases warrant the closure of buildings, homes or commercial property until the relevant fumigation and repairs are completed.

Termites and the damage caused by termites are not covered by your home or building insurance.

If left untreated they can tunnel their way into your property. Eating through wooden structures, support beams, floorboards, window frames and doors causing expensive repairs and potentially dangerous living conditions. The termites will excavate the soil from under the home or building foundation which could lead to cracks in your walls and the collapse of your home foundation.

Termites can be found across Saudi Arabia but densely populated areas face a greater risk due to the large concentration of homes and buildings.

All the products that we use for termites control is colorless, odorless and safe for people, children and animals and no-one needs to be out of the home or building.

Termites can be treated the following ways:

1. Pr-Construction termite Treatment

    1. This is when termiticide is applied to the soil during the construction phase of building to prevent termites from entering the building

2. Post construction treatment

    1. Preventative
      1. We have to dig a trench 450mm deep around the foundation of the home. We then apply 5L of termiticide per square meter while we full the trench.
      2. If we cannot dig a trench we will then have to drill a hole every 500mm throw the foundation. We will then apply 5L of termiticide per hole.
    2. Infestation treatment
      1. We have to dig a trench 450mm deep around the foundation of the home. We then apply 5L of termiticide per square meter while we full the trench.
      2. If we cannot dig a trench we will then have to drill a hole every 500mm throw the foundation. We will then apply 5L of termiticide per hole.

3. Termite baiting – Harvester termites only

The recommended treatment for Harvester termites is termite baiting.

Harvester termite nest can have a radius of over 100m and have multiple queens. Each queenlays 25 000 eggs per day. It does not help to do soil poisoning for Harvester termites as their nest can be between 1m to 8 meters underground. The soil poisoning will only penetrate the ground up to 15cm to 20cm. Harvester termite will keep moving into your property from surrounding
areas.

The recommended treatment for Harvester termite is:

  • Initial treatment
    • Termite granule poison bait
  • 2 weeks after first treatment
    • Apply termite granule poison bait again
  • 2 weeks after 2de termite granule poison bait
    • Apply residual termite poison to all areas – poisoning termite food source
  • Monthly treatment
    • The application of termite granule poison to all areas on a monthly basis to
      control and eradicate any possible new infestations

Inside the home we will have to drill holes every 500mm next to each wall throw the foundations. We will then apply 5L of termiticide per hole. After this treatment we will close the hole. The client will then have to go and do repairs to all the tiles, wooden flooring or carpets we had to drill throw.
